The geometric mean of P1,..,Pn is

$G e o m e t r i c M e a n = \sqrt[n]{\prod_{i = 1}^{n} N o r m a l i z e d (P_{i})}$

where $N o r m a l i z e d (P_{i}) = \frac{P_{i}}{P n}$ where n is the referenced execution time. Obviously the geometic mean of the referenced machine is 1.

One of the nice features of Geometric means is that the following property holds:

$G e o m e t r i c M e a n (\frac{X_{i}}{Y_{i}}) = \frac{G e o m e t r i c M e a n (X_{i})}{G e o m e t r i c M e a n (Y_{i})}$
